Notion dashboards without the Business plan

What Notion says

Notion announced the dashboard view in its release notes of 26 March 2026. The dashboard help page states who gets it:

“Dashboard views are available on Business and Enterprise plans.”

The pricing page agrees: in the plan grid, the Dashboards row is ticked for Business and Enterprise and for no other plan. Charts themselves are a separate feature. On the Free plan you can create 1 chart, and on any paid plan the number is unlimited.

What the Business plan costs a team

On 29 September 2026, Notion’s pricing page listed Business at $20 per member per month billed yearly, or $24 per member per month billed monthly. Notion prices the plan per member, so the table multiplies that price by the size of the team.

Two things keep this table honest. First, if you already pay for another Notion plan, your extra cost is the difference between the two plans, not the full figure, so run the sum with your own numbers. Second, the Business plan covers much more than the dashboard view. Notion’s pricing page lists everything in it, and if your team needs those features the plan may be worth it with or without dashboards.

The rest of this page is for one case: the dashboard view is the reason you are looking at the upgrade, and the rest of the plan is not something you need yet.

Another route: a dashboard you embed

ChartOmodo is a Notion integration that draws charts from your Notion databases and shows them in a Notion page through an embed block. A dashboard here is a grid of your saved charts behind one link, so it does not use Notion’s dashboard view.

1. Connect Notion and pick the databases ChartOmodo may read.
2. Build a chart from a database and save it. Repeat for each number you want on the board.
3. Open a dashboard, add the saved charts, then drag and resize the blocks until the layout reads well.
4. In Notion, type /embed and paste the dashboard’s link. The whole board sits in one block.

Dashboards start on the Starter plan, and a share link for a dashboard starts on the Starter plan. We do not print the price here because it can change: the current figure is on the pricing page, where you can set it against the table above for your team size. The dashboards page shows the builder and how many dashboards each plan includes.

What you give up

• It is not live. Each block re-reads its database on your plan’s timer, and sooner when Notion reports an edit.
• It is an outside service. ChartOmodo reads the databases you pick, and you can revoke that from Notion at any time. If you would rather not give any service that access, stay with Notion’s own view. How your data is handled.
• A ChartOmodo dashboard holds charts. It has no text blocks, no board-wide filters and no export of the whole board as an image.

When Notion’s own tools are enough

• You are moving to Business and Enterprise for other reasons. The dashboard view then comes with the plan.
• You need one or two charts, not a board. Notion’s chart block may cover that on the plan you have.
• You want to show a chart outside Notion. A chart on a published Notion page can be embedded in other websites, as Notion’s publishing help page describes.
