What the database needs
The charts read these properties by name. The template already has them; if you rename one in your copy, the wizard tells you which name it expected.
| Property | Type |
|---|---|
| Deal | Title |
| Stage | Select |
| Value | Number |
| Close date | Date |
| Owner | Select |
Make it yours
- Duplicate the template in Notion. Open Sales Pipeline on the Notion Marketplace and press Duplicate. The page, its sample rows and its three charts land in your workspace.
- Connect your copy. Sign in to ChartOmodo and connect Notion. On Notion's approval screen, tick the duplicated page so ChartOmodo can read its database.
- Create the charts. Press Create charts from your copy, pick the duplicated database, and the same three charts are built from your rows. Paste their embed links into the page in place of the sample ones.
The three charts fit the Free plan: one series each, grouped by week or month at most. Each one counts toward your plan’s charts (5 charts on Free).
What a paid plan adds
- Two or more series on one chart, from the Starter plan.
- The wizard also puts the three charts on one dashboard, Sales Pipeline, with a single embed link, from the Starter plan. On Free the charts are created and the dashboard row says which plan adds it.
Questions
Can I use a status property for the stage?
The template uses a select. A status property is a different type in Notion, so the wizard asks for a select named Stage.
Why is the stage order alphabetical?
The charts sort stages by name. Prefix the options with a number (1 Lead, 2 Qualified) if you want the pipeline order.
Can I chart value by owner?
Yes. Open any of the three charts in the builder, set the X-axis to Owner and save it as a new chart.
